  Comprehensive health cover for your staff  
 

Having a health insurance scheme at your organisation can be a great staff acquisition and retention tool. It provides one of the most valuable benefits an employer can offer to their staff – and it shows your staff that you care.

With an Accuro health insurance scheme, your employees are protected by one of the most comprehensive health insurance plans around. And because our plan provides cover for preventative health checks as well as faster treatment through private hospitals, as an employer you benefit through reduced absenteeism, improved productivity and lower premiums.

Making it work for your organisation

Every business is different. So we’ll work closely with you to design a scheme that suits your particular organisation. For instance, you could choose to provide:

  • SmartCare 1 on its own or SmartCare 1 with extra cover from our other 
    SmartCare plans
  • Different levels of cover for different staff, or the same cover for all your staff
  • Cover for just your staff, or cover for your staff’s family as well.

You also have the choice of a fully or partially subsidised scheme, or a voluntary scheme:

  • Fully subsidised scheme – with this scheme you pay 100 per cent of the premium, so it’s likely to have the greatest value for your staff. And depending on the number of staff on your scheme, you may pay less in premiums and your staff may get extra benefits on top of what’s currently offered by SmartCare. What’s more, employees’ pre-exisitng conditions are likely to be covered with a fully subsidised scheme.
  • Partially subsidised scheme – you may like to partially fund your staff’s health cover and let your staff decide if they want to take up your offer. This will still provide some incentive for your staff but the effectiveness of having a health insurance scheme as an acquisition and rentention tool may be reduced, depending on the level of subsidy.
  • Voluntary scheme – with this scheme you negotiate a deal for your employees and your employees pay for their own health cover if they choose to join the scheme.
